HYROX Race Prep in Indianapolis | What’s Inside Our 6-Week Course

“For Time” with Myriad – Episode #118

YouTube video

If you’ve been on the fence about HYROX, this is the program that’s going to push you off it.

Episode 118 of For Time with Myriad brings back Coach Jared and Coach Marta to break down one of our most popular programs: the Myriad HYROX Race Prep Course. Formerly known as the 6-Week HYROX Training Series, it’s been renamed for a reason.

And it’s open to members and non-members alike.

Why the New Name? What Changed?

The name. And everything inside it.

When this series launched, it was an introduction to our HYROX training at Myriad Fitness + Yoga, a starting point for curious athletes. Now, four iterations in, it’s a fully developed HYROX race preparation experience. The people signing up aren’t just curious anymore. They’re registered for official HYROX races. They’ve raced before. They want to go faster, smarter, and better prepared than last time.

The workouts are handpicked from PRVN, Level Method, and Myriad’s own coaching expertise, the best of everything accumulated over four rounds of running this program. A structured running program is built in from day one, starting with a 5K or 10K benchmark and finishing with a full retest so you can measure exactly how much you’ve improved in six weeks.

What’s Included in the HYROX Race Prep Course?

This is not just Monday and Wednesday nights at the gym. Here’s the full package:

  • ⏰ 6-week course — Monday & Wednesday evenings, 6:30–7:30 PM, starting September 14th
  • 📧 Weekly Sunday newsletter — race strategy, heart rate zones, shoe recommendations, nutrition guidance, 2026/2027 HYROX rules updates, and more
  • 🏋️ Thursday HYROX training class access — Myriad’s regular weekly Thursday HYROX classes included throughout the course
  • 🏃 One programmed running workout per week — giving you four structured training sessions per week total
  • 🏁 Half HYROX — Saturday, October 3rd — a midpoint simulation built into the course so you know exactly what you’re in for
  • 📱 Chalk It Pro access — your weekly programming, trackable and viewable from your phone

What Does It Cost?

$250 total for everything listed above. The course, the running program, Thursday class access, and the half HYROX. Break it down per session across six weeks and it’s genuinely difficult to find a better deal in the HYROX training space anywhere in Indianapolis.

Who Is the HYROX Race Prep Course For?

The short answer: anyone who has a HYROX race on the calendar, is thinking about signing one up for one, or wants to experience what HYROX actually feels like before committing to an official event.

Specifically, this course is built for:

  • Athletes registered for the Myriad HYROX Fall Simulation on October 24th
  • Athletes signed up for an official HYROX race: Anaheim, Chicago, or anywhere else on the 2026/2027 calendar
  • HYROX beginners who want a structured, supported introduction before jumping into classes
  • Experienced HYROX athletes who want to race smarter: transitions, pacing strategy, fueling, all of it
  • Anyone who wants to try a half HYROX in a low-pressure environment before committing to a full race

Even Better With a Partner

One of the most consistent themes across every round of this program: the people who go through it together get the most out of it. Brothers, best friends, coworkers; pairs who sign up, train together Monday and Wednesday nights, and then race side by side at the simulation have a completely different experience than solo athletes who jump straight into an official HYROX event.

Don’t have a partner? We’ll find you one matched by ability level so you can actually train together at pace. Several lasting friendships have started exactly this way.

Why Train for HYROX at Myriad Fitness in Indianapolis?

A few reasons that matter:

  • 🏋️ Official HYROX equipment — real center sleds for pushes and pulls, official med balls with wall ball targets, sandbags at correct weights, proper distances for farmer’s carries, ski ergs, rowers, and more. This is as close to an official HYROX event as you can get in training.
  • 👟 Coaches who have raced HYROX — not just coached it. Raced it. Multiple times. You’re getting genuine insider knowledge on transitions, pacing, strategy, and fueling that you won’t find in a regular class setting.
  • 📋 2026/2027 rules updates — HYROX has been evolving its ruleset, and knowing the changes before race day matters. We cover them throughout the course.
  • 📍 Myriad is an official HYROX Training Club — this isn’t a gym that added a sled. HYROX is a full program and dedicated vertical at Myriad, with a training zone, a dedicated class schedule, and a team that lives it.
