Week 2 Recap: Myriad Intramural Open Workout 26.2
Myriad Intramural Open Week 2 Recap: Workout 26.2
Week two of the Myriad Intramural Open is officially in the books, and things are starting to get interesting. After another week of sweat, strategy, and some very tired forearms, our three team captains—Riley, Harry, and Zoe—sat down to recap everything that happened during CrossFit Open workout 26.2.
Between tough movements, new PRs, and plenty of team spirit, week two delivered exactly what the Intramural Open is all about: community, competition, and having fun while pushing your limits.
Workout 26.2: A Different Kind of Challenge
Unlike week one’s endurance-heavy workout, 26.2 tested skill, grip strength, and gymnastics ability.
Movements like overhead dumbbell lunges and muscle-ups quickly separated the field. Instead of pacing your breathing like last week, athletes had to focus on holding on through grip fatigue and executing technical movements under pressure.
For many athletes, the ring muscle-ups were the biggest challenge of the workout. It’s one of the most technical movements in CrossFit, requiring a powerful pull, a fast transition, and a strong dip—all in one motion.
Despite the challenge, athletes across the gym rose to the occasion, scaling movements when needed and cheering each other on every step of the way.
Team Standings After Week 2
The leaderboard is starting to take shape, and one team is beginning to pull away.
🥇 Team Green (The Frogs) – 458 points
🥈 Team Gray (The Koalas) – 378 points
🥉 Team Black (The Kiwis) – 241 points
Team Green made a big jump this week, stretching their lead from just a small gap to an 80-point advantage.
But with TWO weeks left in the Myriad Intramural Open (don’t forget we have our IN HOUSE 26.FUN on March 21st at 9a) there are still plenty of points on the board—and anything can happen.

Bonus Points: Video Challenge & Donations
Remember, workouts aren’t the only way to earn points in the Myriad Intramural Open.
Weekly Video Challenge
This week’s challenge is deceptively tricky:
Tie your shoe while balancing on one foot.
It sounds simple, but athletes quickly discover it takes balance, coordination, and a little creativity. Submit your video to earn easy points for your team.
Horizon House Donation Drive
We’re also continuing our donation drive supporting Horizon House, an Indianapolis organization that provides resources to individuals experiencing homelessness.
Members can earn extra points for their team by bringing in items from the Horizon House wish list. Donation boxes are located in the lobby, and they are already starting to fill up.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far—not just for the competition, but for helping make a difference in our local community.
Week 3 Showdown: Jason vs Richie
To kick off the final week of the Intramural Open, we’ll have a special Friday morning throwdown.
During the 5:30 AM class, Jason and Richie will go head-to-head in CrossFit Open workout 26.3.
The workout will be announced Thursday afternoon, so nobody knows what’s coming—but if the first two weeks are any indication, it’s going to be a fun one to watch.
We’ll also be filming a Mic’d Up video, so keep an eye out for that recap next week.
One Week Left in the Myriad Intramural Open
With only one week remaining, there are still plenty of opportunities to earn points:
• Complete the Open workout
• Submit your video challenge
• Bring in Horizon House donations
• Show up and cheer on your teammates
The Myriad Intramural Open has already delivered incredible energy, community support, and some amazing athletic moments.
Now it’s time to finish strong.
Week 3… let’s go. 💪
