CrossFit Weekly Programming Preview : 5/21/18 – 5/27/18

Monday: getting in more preparation for Murph today with a barbell thrown into the mix of running and gymnastics. We will be running Murph during open gym on Monday May 28th from 9:00 to 11:00am at 922 Capitol and 11:00 to 1:00pm at Monon. Tuesday: working into a new strength movement to start the day off. The goal here is to get more comfort and familiarity with this movement rather than worrying about maxing out on the first day of trying it. You will finish out with very light weight barbell sprints. Wednesday: you will all be taking part in a very long AMRAP today mixing cardio and skill work with the goal of spending time on a long time domain workout, much longer than we usually go! The hope here is to make Murph feel more manageable with recent experience in a long workout. Thursday: spending the first portion of the day on the barbell with overhead work for all, technique for some and strength for others depending on ability. You will finish the day out with a chance to try your hand at one of the regional workouts. Friday: the first part of the day will focus on unilateral leg strength and explosive hip work. Closing out the work week with an interval workout that will test your shoulder stability and stamina followed by squats (insert peach emoji for today) Saturday: another longer workout today but this time in an EMOM style. You will have the chance today to play with a range of movements from grunt work to high level skills.]]>
