“When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid.” – Audre Lorde
Continuing the theme of courage this month, we are practicing with abhaya which implores us to embody fearlessness. What does it look like to be fearless? What does it look like to instead shy away from what scares you, to rather stare it down and demand your power back?
Coupled with this we are physically practicing in our ow classes standing forehead to knee pose which requires fearlessness to wiggle and waiver and hold our place. In our stretch and restore classes we are practicing a wall version of downdog which opens the heart and offers support… which we think true fearlessness requires- feeling supported in ourselves or support systems whilst opening our hearts.
