CrossFit Weekly Programming Preview : 2/24/20-3/1/20

Monday: It is test week! We are officially on the last week of our strength cycle where we will retest our maxes. You will have 20:00 for each lift on the days that we are testing and be guided through how to approach that time by your coach each class. We will finish today out with a little triplet of bodyweight movements and rowing to flush out the system after the heavy squatting. Strength: Find 1 Rep Max Back Squat Tuesday: getting into some strict skill work today along with a little agility work before a 20:00 EMOM to close out the day. Today is all about scaling to find a rep scheme that is appropriate for you on this EMOM so you can leave the day feeling accomplished rather than frustrated. Wednesday: day 2 of testing week, this time with the deadlift. We will work our way through a lot of warm up and activation pieces before hitting the max out test and then close the day with a QUICK sprint couplet. Strength: Find 1 Rep Max Deadlift Thursday: working into a longer AMRAP today, focusing on high skill level movements and a bit of cardio to just keep the body moving on a hard week of testing your central nervous system. Friday: final testing day! Closing out our strength tests with the bench press. If you are planning to participate in the Bracket Buster and still want to test this movement, then I would suggest coming for just the strength portion of class today or getting in your bench press during an open gym time on Thursday. We will close out the work week with a fun couplet using a barbell and boxes. Strength: Find 1 Rep Max Bench Press Saturday: we will be hosting the Bracket Buster today so classes will be altered to accommodate that event. We will have a class at 8am and 9am at 916 rather than classes at 922 and our regular schedule will run at Monon.
