UPCOMING EVENT: AERIAL BASICS — BEGINS 01.14.23

This popular series begins again on Saturday, January 14!

Ready to take your yoga practice into the air, but a little nervous to jump right in? Myriad will be offering our second introductory course this January to help guide you through the basics of this practice. Aerial is a casual departure from our typical yoga classes — these classes create an open environment to practice unusual fitness movement and challenge your body in unique ways. This fun and playful movement style incorporates aspects of postural yoga, breath work, body weight and dynamic movement.

Throughout this four week course you will become familiar with Aerial terminology, get comfortable with the silk, learn basic Aerial postures, and begin to work with inversions and hanging from the silk. With only seven students per class, you will receive a focused attention to help you feel safe and confident. Finish out the month feeling prepared to take on an Aerial class, ready to float through the movements!

**Your last class on February the fourth will be 90-minutes long. You will receive one professional photo in a fabulous aerial posture of your choice to conclude your final class! SIGN UP HERE

Meet your teacher…

Jordan Nommay, 200-HR RYT + Aerial Certified

Jordan has a skill for making all forms of yoga, both grounded and flying, feel accessible, inclusive and safe. With her interest in exploring unique movement, you will often find her playing in the Aerial silks. We are so honored to have Jordan leading our Aerial Basics Course.

Jordan discovered aerial yoga in 2014 and was instantly drawn in by the ability to explore her yoga practice from a completely different perspective, literally. Aerial yoga has provided Jordan the opportunity to find a new connection to yoga postures and the body with the aid of a silk. She began teaching aerial yoga to help give students a chance to explore their practice from a different angle while also embracing a bit of extra fun. Most especially, Jordan loves teaching beginners how to incorporate the silk into their practice and experiencing their joy when they take their first inversion.
