CrossFit Games 2011 Sectional 11.5

Power Clean 4×3 @80% Sectional WOD 11.5 Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 20 minutes of: 5 Power cleans (145lbs / 100lbs) 10 Toes to bar 15 Wall balls (20lbs/14lbs to 10′ target men/9′ for women) POST- Mobility – Calf Stretch Description Power clean This is a standard Power clean from the ground to the shoulders. The barbell begins on the ground. Touch and go is permitted. No bouncing. The barbell must come up to the shoulders, with the hips and knees fully extended and the elbows in front of the bar. Toes to bar In the Toes to bar, the athlete must go from a full hang to having the toes touch the pull-up bar. The arms and hips must be fully extended at the bottom and the the feet must be brought back to behind the bar, not out front. Both feet must touch the bar together at some point. The arms can be bent or straight. Wallball In the Wall ball, the medicine ball must be taken from the bottom of a squat, hip crease below knee, and thrown to hit the specified target. Using an additional ball, box or other object to check for proper depth is not allowed. If the ball is not caught between reps, it must come to a full stop on the ground. Bouncing the ball off the floor is not permitted. The center of the ball must hit the target at or above the specified target height. If the ball hits low or does not hit the wall it is no rep.]]>

  1. so I actually had to do this WOD in Atlanta during the competition. We were there for a bachelor party. I got 331 reps at the time which is 11 rds and 1 wall ball. It was one of the harder mental battles I have had considering the circumstances.

    16# on the WB’s
    I made it through 6 rounds even… Fired up the last couple WB’s just to get it done!!!!
    I’ve been sick for like 3 days and I threw up twice today before attempting the WOD so while it wasn’t the best, I’m cool with it!
    During the warm up we witnessed THEE proposal so I am happy that Peter and Shannon will be uniting their lives. Definitely praying that God will bless their union!! Congrats

  3. 5 rounds & 12 wall balls. I was disappointed I couldn’t eek out 3 more reps for the round. However, I have to remember my shoulder is still sore & my hands keep ripping. It would helped to get through my toes to bar quicker. Must. Get. Tough. Hands.

    My hands were killing me on this one. It was painful to grip the bar for the toes to bar skill so my overall performance was slowed down. Leslie- I am with you on the need to get tougher hands!
