Join Marta for our monthly Full Moon Reflections + Yoga class on Thursday, June 20th! This special monthly yoga class has a different Teacher each month, leaving no two classes the same. Full Moon Reflections + Yoga combines postural yoga, breath work, meditation and special theming to create a holistic experience for mind, body + spirit. June’s Full Moon holds a special significance as it falls on the Summer Solstice — this timely event will leave a lunar experience that is unique to the sky about every 20 years.

The Summer Solstice marks a time of transition between Spring and Summer. New transitions can often bring us into periods of discomfort, as we move between spaces. Summer is a time to move from action into a time of nourishment. The solstice signals a time to pause and to wait; to turn inwards and seek what we need within ourselves. With the full moon on the summer solstice, we can expect the moon to stay low, creating a very dark night sky. We will self-reflect to find our own internal light, to help navigate the spaces of darkness and to nourish the mind, body + spirit.

As we consider the intentions we will wish to set for the month ahead, we will focus on the opportunities we may have to grow + develop ourselves, to aid in finding the light within us. This full strawberry moon represents abundance, a reminder that all we need to shine brightly can be found within ourselves. We mark the beginning of transition, as any seeds we have planted in the Spring begin to burst with life and energy.

Our flow will honor the four directions (east, west, north + south) to help align ourselves with the transition between seasons. We will find a nourishing breath practice to help stimulate growth and productive energy. Our meditation will focus on forming gratitude for all that we have, and all that we wish to manifest in the month ahead.

In this 75-minute class, you’ll be guided through:

  •  1. A slow-flow style yoga flow(45 min)  
  • 2. Energizing + nourishing pranayama or breath work (5 min)
  • 3. Gratitude Meditation (10 min)
  • 4. Guided Journaling (10 min)

Be sure to bring your mat, a journal, and an open mind as you allow yourself to be illuminated by the lunar energies.
