Yoga Pose & Focus : 8/2-8/7

“A genuine leader is not a searcher for consensus but a molder of consensus.” – Martin Luther King Jr.

Theme: Narasimha
This week we continue our fiery ride through Leo season amidst the presence of the deity, Narasimha. With the head of a lion and the body of a man, this cutie is understood to represent the embodiment of strength and leadership. How can you step into your own fierce leadership this week? How can you empower and support others to do the same?

Flow Pose: Lion’s Pose
Part physical posture and part breathwork technique, Lion’s Pose (or Lion’s Breath) is a backbend that asks for courage and some of that week’s fearlessness. If breathwork in a communal setting isn’t your bag right now, feel free to practice your own yogic breath with or without your mask while on your mat this week!

Restorative/Yin Pose: Wall Supported Forward Fold
Uttansana, or Forward Fold, is a fundamental posture in our yoga practice. Using the wall to assist can add both stability and fire to a pose you likely visit often.
